''Currency of the Round World'' <br />

Gold and silver are as rare and precious in the Round World as in our own. Most ‘gold pieces’ (gps) are small disks of ‘green gold’ ( weak gold-copper alloy). They are often crudely and locally minted. The symbol of Jaser is frequently stamped on such money to ward against the evils of usury or foul play. <br />

Larger, pure gold ‘King’s Mint’ coins are worth between 10-100gps each, depending on the year of their issue. Only merchants (and thieves) seem to have ready knowledge of these coin’s value. <br />

The most valuable coins known  are Turban  ‘desert moons’, heavy gold-platinum disks worth several hundred gps apiece.<br />
