= Economics = ''Assëässe'' economy is based on the gold piece. It is accepted and traded in most parts of the world. Gold pieces can generally be traded between kingdoms as-is even if they bear the mark of a foreign empire. == Currency Conversion == Currencies are'nt worth the same everywhere on ''Assëässe''. The following table resumes the value between each coin material and different regions of the world. <table border=1> <tr> <th> </th> <th>CP</th> <th>SP</th> <th>EP</th> <th>GP</th> <th>PP</th> <th>RP</th> <th>YP</th> <th>Gm</th> </tr> <tr> <td>Base Currency</td> <td>100</td> <td>10</td> <td>5</td> <td>1</td> <td>0.2</td> <td>0.01</td> <td>0.001</td> <td>0.001</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Zambie</td> <td>100</td> <td>10</td> <td>5</td> <td>1</td> <td>0.2</td> <td>*</td> <td>*</td> <td>0.001</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Savage Coast</td> <td>*</td> <td>*</td> <td>*</td> <td>0.001</td> <td>0.0002</td> <td>0.000001</td> <td>0.0000001</td> <td>0.0000001</td> </tr> </table> * These materials are exotic or of negligible value. These should be considered as 'building' materials such as stone or iron and must be apparaised by a merchant to attribute any value. == Magic Items Trade == Magic items are rare and valuable items. Very few merchants trade those openly. But there is a famous magic items franchise called ''Erasmus R Us'' that has set standards trough out the ''Zambie'' island. Magic items usually sells for 10 to 20 times the XP value and are bought back for 1 to 2 times the XP value. '''Note:''' For AD&D 3rd and 4th edition use the rules listed in those books. == Gem trading == Gem trading is common in most parts of ''Assëässe''. Gems are usually evaluated free of charge if they are sold back to that merchant. A small fee of 0.5% to 1% of the jewel total value might be charged if the gems are'nt sold to the dealer. Since gems and jewelery don't deteriorate they usually can be sold to a merchant to 80% to 90% of their total value. == Used Equipment == Used equipment is not a huge market. There is no real value in trading those. It's up to the DM to come up with a system to trade these items. However armor and weapons in good condition mostly are bought back by merchants at 20% of their retail value.
