== '''Wasteward Keep''' == '''Lord Almasy Tamas''' - Governor of Wasteward Keep. A Crusader who was once the Legate Commander of the Vth Legion. He has dedicated his life to serving the Telkarion Empire, and his faithful service has rewarded him with governorship of Wasteward Keep and the Wasteward Marches, what is arguably the most dangerous frontier of the Empire. He is well-known for being a very observant and wise governor, but has a strong attachment to tradition and the experiences of his adventurous youth that can make him slow to accept change. Having served many years on the southern frontier, he maintains a dislike for the goblinoid races that has created a rift between the troops under his command and the 13th Legion. '''Master Asayar Zsigmond''' - Aged monk, master of the Tiger Claw fighting style. He is an advisor and long-time companion of Lord Almasy Tamas, having adventured with him in his youth. He has an odd complexion that many attribute to his advanced age, but there are rumours that he has an inhuman ancestor. He is missing one finger on his right hand. '''Scoutmaster Janos''' - Commander of the scouts and rangers who serve the Empire in the Wasteward Marches. He is remarkable for the energy that he constantly displays, and hair that is worn long in the style of frontiersmen, both of which set him out from the other senior masters of the Keep. '''Blademaster Tivadar''' - Commander of Lord Tamas' personal guard, a renowned swordsage. His booming voice can often be heard throughout the Keep as he admonishes a student or guardsman, but he has developed a reputation as a jokester amongst those who know him well. '''Quartermaster Ferenc''' - Ferenc controls the warehouses containing the Empire's military stores. With appropriate approvals, important gear may be requisitioned from Ferenc for missions being undertaken in service to the Empire. '''Magistrate Kazimir''' - Head of the Imperial Cult in Wasteward, administering over all temples in the region. A notorious skinflint who is generous with his praise and flowery words, but reluctant to part with a single copper. This has lead to rumours that the Temple contains a vast wealth, hoarded by Kazimir over the years. Established by radical human priests in the years following the creation of the Empire, the once-marginal Imperial Cult has gained in popularity in recent years, especially amongst humans who fear inclusion of other races in mainstream society. '''Archmage Tivadar''' - Senior warmage of Wasteward Keep. His eyes glow with an eldritch fire that has been known to strike terror into his enemies. He is rumoured to have served House Telkarion during the Age of Warring Kingdoms, which would make him much older than the normal span of human years. An old battle injury has left him nearly deaf and prone to misinterpretation of verbal communication. '''Geza Gyoni''' - Lesser mage encountered by the party at the Tower of Mages. '''Captain Bartal''' - Commander of the militias of the Wasteward Region. A moody, humourless individual, he is not pleased with being relegated to command over the ragtag, poorly-trained conscripts. '''Emre Benedek''' - Riverman who accepted the task of ferrying the party upstream, along with supplies for the tower. Last seen at the docks near the tower, where he awaits the party's return. He is fairly savvy guide to the dangerous river, and is happy to be earning the Empire's gold. '''Ozsef Kisfal''' - Riverman who gladly ferried the party from Riverside to Wasteward, in exchange for a riding horse. '''Ththur Glantek''' - Mysterious Dwarven trader, resident of the Riverman's Rest Inn. '''Ambassador Irimon Taramandil''' - Elven ambassador of House Taramandil, longtime allies of the Empire. '''Arpad Zrinsk''' - Merchant, owner of the warehouse that the party was charged with guarding in return for free (albeit spartan) lodging and food (grudgingly provided). '''Snirvneblin''' - Peculiar gnome who presides over the magic shop in the cellars of the Tower of Mages. '''Lajos Jos''' - Young borderlander militiaman assigned to guide the party to the village where the alleged kidnapping took place. '''High Priest Nikola Lantos''' - High Priest of the Temple of Isten in Wasteward. '''Mor Gordonyi''' - Warmage from Wasteward, encountered by the party at the abandoned watchtower. '''Mihaly Kassak''' - Agent of the Empire, encountered by the party en route to find the kidnapped children. At the time, he was searching for nobles who might be witholding their personal troops from the defence of Wasteward.
