===Two Heavens As One=== * Artifact 5 (Attune 10) ** An incredibly ancient weapon, the eternal partner of Xiuhcoatl Itotia, the legendary First Dawn and grand master of war throughout the Primordial War and First Age. This awe-inspiring weapon dates back to the Primordial War, and has survived through three ages. '''Appearance:''' Outwardly its mighty blade spans a full six feet and a foot across, and closer inspection reveals that it is actually two swords in one, a complex sorcerous rune forming the seam where the two blades fuse along its length. When separated by the attuned wielder, the weapon splits into two double-edged blades. Joining together again, the weapons form a broad, vaguely leaf-shaped grand daiklave blade. '''Powers''' * Holy: Most fundamental to the weapon’s function, Two Heavens is considered Holy and deals aggravated damage to Creatures of Darkness. * Bifurcated Weapon: Not content to rely solely on the overwhelming power of the grand daiklave design, Xiuhcoatl’s partner is designed to split apart into matching daiklaves. By spending a single mote and performing a Miscellaneous Action, Two Heavens splits into two weapons with the statistics of regular Orichalcum daiklaves. The blades do not inflict off-hand penalties when wielded together. An additional Miscellaneous Action and mote expenditure joins the blades into their full form again. * River of Steel: While in bifurcated mode, Two Heavens drives away harm from its wielder. If either blade is used to parry, the wielder may ignore up to (Essence) penalties to DV. * Aura Edge: While in grand daiklave mode, Two Heavens glows with an aura perceptible to mortal eyes. This aura is actually razor sharp, and will slice into anyone who crosses blades with the wielder. Attacks in this mode are considered unblockable. * Hearthstone Sockets: Finally, the entire artifact bears two settings for hearthstones. When separated, each blade has a single setting.
