=='''Physical Description'''== In appearance, Josephine is somewhat tall for a woman. Standing at five feet and nine inches in her stockinged feet, she is considerably leaner than the voluptous figure required of the day. She is certainly more accustomed to physical action over cultivated weakness and she is tougher than she appears. Her hair is a dark brown, catching red glints in the sunlight, and her brown eyes are bright and observant. Her complexion is clear, her features even, and her fair skin is a sturdy type that tans well instead of burning. Her hair is somewhat shorter than is the norm for a woman of her era and she wears it in a ballerina bun or a simple French twist for everyday wear. For combat, she puts it up in a Dutch braid circling her head.

Her preferred clothing is likewise unconventional, leaning in a decidedly mannish direction of shirtwaists tucked into walking skirts or split riding skirts--even trousers on occasion--and her shoes are either ladies' leather ankle boots or men's town boots. Of corsets she has little use or liking and though she does possess one, her physical habits and figure are such that she can usually dispense with wearing it. Josephine prefers practicality over fashion, comfort over convention whenever possible and though this has led to some raised eyebrows and scandalized sensibilities, she feels the mobility, utility, and self-sufficiency thus gained more than compensates for any misconceptions about her character. Over the months of her nascent career, however, she has come to see conventional clothing as a useful disguise and will certainly use it to her advantage.
