==Culture/Society==
The Amazons are warriors one and all, though many take on additional roles. Amazonian culture bares an extreme bias in favor of women, to the point that no males are typically allowed in their lands. Some continuities make exceptions for exceptional individuals, such a exemplar heroes and deities.  	The New 52 (current) continuity has it that Aphrodite created the original Amazons from clay and imbued them with the souls of women who had been killed by men. These originals made their home on Paradise Island, and would take men, infrequently, from any ship wreck that happened near enough to their island. These men would be raped and executed, with any resulting female children raised as Amazons. Male children were traded to the god Hephaestus for magical armaments.
	Despite the means of reproduction and the warrior ethos, Amazon society also values art, music and education in general.
	The Amazons are split into two tribes, though, for the most part, the differences have more to do with fashion and location than values or behavior. The Themyscirians still occupy Paradise Island (also called Themyscara), and the second tribe, the Bana-Mighdallians, occupy a hidden location in the middle-east.
