=History= The mortal wqho would become thew Benevolent Flensing Tyrant started his life as a noble man, generous to his neighbors, and a fearless deender of the common man. A heralded hero, and the envy of all. Or so he deeply wished. In reality, he was a small, petty man, with many jealousies. He genuinely did take steps to try to live up to the reputation he decided he deserved. Mianly by seeking out trouble, or bringing it down on himself in hopes of becoming a great and celebrated warrior. And for the most part, he failed miserably. Almost inhumanly stubborn (some would say maybe a bit suicidal in his continued idiocy), he was often saved by others, who kept him from losing life or limb, but only stoked the fires of his jealous, irrational envy of others. While he didn't see it at the time, his envy and jealousy cost him everything he blamed on others. When his children turned their backs on him after he managed to incite a band of brigands to invade their village, he blamed them for being ungrateful. When others were lauded for their bravery, he seethed, convinced they';d somehow stolen his glory. When his wife left him for a travelling nobleman, it was the final straw. Convinced that everyone around him was too foolish to know what they had in him, he set forth, determined to gain their love and devotion in an act of glory...and then let them all suffer as he denied them. It was everything he dreamed of...a bold stand against a band of Wyld barbarians from the deep Southern pole. Armed with his trusty sword and his confidence that the world was due to bow down to him anyway, he challenged their leader to a battle. The fight was over in less time than it took to issue the challenge, with Tyrant battered and broken, and the barbarians leaving him behind out of amused pity. At that moent, the howling winds took a voice. And that voic offered him a chance to redeem himself. To gain the fear and admiration of millions, and spurn them all, or show themk the price for their late devotion. All he had to do was offer himself wholly to the Silent Wind. The choice was obvious, and Benevolent Flensing Tyrant was born.
