The powers available to an Alamond Sorcerer are potent, but also swing toward minor magics. It is perhaps the nature of the place and the people in it that most people who acquire the Alamond Imprint are practicer of mysticism and prestidigitation and a wide variety of stage magics. *Most magic forms operate here. Listry, Magery, & Wizardry being most common. Nearly every aspirant to the Sigil of Alamond has skills along other magical systems first. The Alamond Council of Wizards sees to it. *It is believed by those that hold the Alamond sigil that the purpose of the creation of Alamond may have been to test the function of mental collection in the establishment of a Primal Realm. That Oberon attempted to create a limited system with a highly developed set of mental clues to be enlarged and enacted by the act of Creation. ===='''Time Issues'''==== *However the construct for Alamond was created it has a irregular relationship to time. ** The Time Ratio is X to 1 in Amber. Where X is the time ratio of the realm the attendee came from. So a a couple could arrive at the same time in Alamond, one having come from Dreana at 10 to 1, and the other from Racsir, at 60 to one, and spend two 30 day months in the park. If they both left to Amber one would arrive earlier then the other. THe one from Racsir would arrive 6 days before the one from Dreana. If they returned to the world they came from, they could then transport to Amber and arrive on the same day. **Once one gains the Imprint of Alamond on may decide what their personal time ratio is. Basic Imprint can manipulate up to 60 to 1 in Amber. Advanced can manipulate to 180 to 1. ** The [[Aging in Amber]] function occurs here but its been observed that the threshold for growing younger, based on enthusiasm for life, is much lower. Also, one's perceived age can be chosen or "Checked". A lifeform tends to grow younger here and to grow young faster. Sometimes in as little as months a person might physically return to an age of approximately 16 years old if their aging is not checked. One 'Checks" their age by consciously choosing an age to appear as. These choices are often made to add to one's performance art. A 16 year old boy does not make a convincing wizard. A 14 year old girl may not make a suitable fortune teller. A 14 year old girl might not be fully grown enough to be a reliable high wire performer. ===''Commentary on Alamond''=== *Its a rare group that can critique the reasons for the creation of a primal construct. The creation of Alamond is controversial in many quarters but few know the reasons for Oberon's effort. *Alamond was created by Oberon while establishing a strict set of emotional and actual images of real places in shadow. As such specific theme parks were duplicated in their entirety as the Squiggle was inscribed, with the forces of shadow filling in the missing details of the realms as firmly implanted in the guiding memory of the squiggles creator. As such people who lived long lives in theaters, stages, carnivals, fairs, amusement parks, vacation resorts, brothels, prestidigitators, circuses, minstrel shows and other activities across shadow have found there way to Alamond and into a state of perpetual lives. *The <span style=color:blue>''Creative Force''</span> was framed with a specific set of images, the <span style=color:blue>''Creative Imagery''</span>, designed to interact with similar places in shadow, as does the Nature oriented aspect of Mandalay. *Alamond seems to have a similar effect as [[Aging in Amber]] where a life lasts as long as it is enthusiastic embraced. As does the Dramaturge and other places in Mandalay. *For these reasons many believe that the creation of the Primal Realm of Alamond was a very exotic test of principles later used to create the [[Mark of Mandalay]] *[[The Real Reason for Alamond]]
