==Backgrounds== ===Artifact 7 (Promised Victory 5, Celestial Charger 5, Aegis 4)=== It is the nature of the son to follow in the steps of the father. As the Sun strode forth in manifest deliverance of virtue, so do his Exalted. This particular son has trod that path more closely, influenced perhaps by his relationship with Nysela. Like the Sun, he possesses a panoply of mighty artifacts that grant him advantage in combat. And, like the Sun, ever is he oblivious to those who love him most.
These four items represent a mighty undertaking on Nysela’s part, and thus Noldarr feels it would be shameful to continue calling on her for aid. Hence, she is not listed as an Ally; rather, her contribution to him is more direct.
'''Promised Victory''' - This blade was one of many gifted to the UCS at the end of the Primordial War, and was considered for his panoply, but ultimately set aside in favor of the Godspear of All-Searing Noon. Its design is immaculate, and its craftsmanship unsurpassed for sheer quality in the Age of Sorrows. This is perfection made manifest as a cutting edge. Promised Victory is indestructible.
Speed 3: Statline as Short Daiklave, adding the wielder's (Essence) to Acc, Def, and Damage (as Perfected Kata Bracers)
Speed 6: Statline as Reaver Daiklave, adding the wielder's (Essence) to Acc, Def, and Damage (as Perfected Kata Bracers), and with overwhelming equal to (3 + Essence/2). Speed 3 Version is thus Acc +9, Damage +9L, Defense +6
Speed 6 Version is thus Acc +8, Damage +14L/6, Defense +5 *The blade can be wielded as a light thrusting/stabbing weapon or a heavy cleaving weapon, depending on the manner of grip and fighting style. The blade does not have a magical material bonus.
The edge of Promised Victory may be imbued with the raw conceptual power of the sun, each blow a holocaust of cutting light. By reflexively spending 1 mote, an attack can be augmented as if the wielder were using Hungry Tiger Technique and Golden Destruction Cut (x1).
'''Celestial Charger''' - An Essence-and-orichalcum construct imbued with the soul of Noldar’s slain steed. It is a magnificent creature, wreathed in rippling white flame and bearing a brilliant orichalcum horn, but it is more machine than beast. This steed does not cap the rider’s Abilities at his Ride score, and can be reflexively summoned or banished to Elsewhere at will. It cannot be struck until its rider is slain, and grants the following advantages over a normal steed:
*Mounted Combat DV bonus becomes +3 instead of +1 *Full flight capability, untiring, at a speed of 120 miles per hour *Sprint: None may escape from the Rider’s fury. The Rider may designate an enemy for the steed to follow; thereafter, until the steed is called off, it will always remain within (Essence) yards of the foe regardless of natural or supernatural movement. This is a perfect effect, but can only be invoked in combat time. Essentially, it’s a re-skinned Wings of the Raptor with the Dodge DV replaced by Parry and with Sprint instead of +3 to an Attribute. The fact that it has no attunement cost bumps the level up to 5.
'''Aegis of Unconquered Dawn''' - Functions as a normal Orichalcum Thunderbolt Shield (+3 DVs, Attune 5), with the following additional power - the wielder’s Parry DV becomes inviolate, and cannot be reduced by any means, internal or external. The Aegis can provide a perfect defense, as Heavenly Guardian Defense including unexpected attacks, for 5m. This perfect defense has the Temperance Flaw of Invulnerability. So long as the Aegis is attuned, it will spring to its wielder’s defense in the event of attack even if the wielder is unconscious or separated from it.
===Ally 4 (Lilac’s Sorrow)=== [[Lilac's_Sorrow |''The blue-haired girl closed the book, and sighed. “He seems like a dream...” she murmured, “it is a sorrow that I will have to kill him. One more sorrow, for an age of Sorrows...”]]
She hunted him down, tracked him by the trail of adoring communities he left in his wake, but when the time came to weave her spell, to trap his heart between her skeins of fate, so that when the time came he would fall, she found that she could not do it. For too long she had stared at the sun, and now the rest of the world was dim and gray. She did not know what she would do without her sun, that knight in shining armor whom she had encountered ten thousand times under fate’s disguise, that knight who had never seen her true face, her true eyes.
And then fate decided for her, as the hammer-blow came and the Chosen of the Maidens scattered or fled or died. The adversary came for her as well, fire and sword, but, with the help of her knight, she beat it back, and, exhausted, dropped her facade.
He did not resent her deception; in fact, forgave her for it without even a passing glance. There was to be a Deliberative, he said, of the Solar Exalted, and of the Lunars, and of those Sidereals who had survived. She should accompany him, he said, for it was their duty to the peoples of this besieged Creation to put aside their conflicts and make things right. She followed him, pulled as inescapably as a planet around a sun.''
===Backing 4 (General of the Deliberative)=== ===Lunar Bond 5 (The Nightingale) [No True Love]=== Noldarr’s mate, the ''Nightingale'', is an insane First-Age Lunar who was driven mad by the absence of the Solar to whom she was so strongly bonded. Essentially the textbook definition of a yandere, she frequently takes the form of a creepy young girl with blood-stained silver hair who relentlessly plots to ‘own’ Noldarr come hell or high water. She’s unaligned with any faction and doesn’t attend the Deliberative. The sad thing is, in the First Age their love truly was one of the purest to grace Creation, but millennia of longing enforced by the Bond ensured that the Nightingale would never get over the loss of her mate. Unable to move on, her mind shattered. A wanderer, she doesn’t possess a beastman lineage, but on her own is more than a match for the likes of Ma-Ha-Suchi or Raksi. She’s great friends with Lilith, and ''ferociously'' despises akuma and Infernals.
