==Obsessed==
Yana will never, ever allow anyone to get the drop on her again. She applies her determination and talent to studying the patterns of kaiju attacks, mapping their roaming patterns, which areas of the remnants of civilization they choose to attack when - essentially, the same thing she did before her accident. Only now, when she goes out to hunt, she's armed with Koschei Red and an insatiable thirst for victory. However, she prefers to work alone - she scored poorly on teamwork in training, and she privately worries that in combat she would be more of a liability than an asset. Compounding this, her anti-kaiju research consumes her life, and she has little time for socialization or even food outside of it.

==Trouble: A Dish Best Served Cold==
Viy took Yana's arm. Sometimes she wishes it had killed her, because then she wouldn't live day to day with the pain in her joint and the knowledge that the monster is still out there. Once highly intelligent, if a few beets short of a bowl of borscht, now her mind is clouded with constant thoughts of revenge against the monstrous race of kaiju.

==First Adventure: Metro 2145==

The wreckage of civilization provides ample opportunity to ambush town-sized kaiju - after all, it's hard to miss something that big from the top of a tower. Yana mounted a solitary expedition to map some nearby areas, preparing for missions, and located the ruins of a subway system, perfect for quick travel under the noses of kaiju that find it difficult to penetrate the earth. While she was clearing out rubble in the dark tunnels, she was assaulted by a small group of kaiju flesh mites - her first combat operation, and it wasn't even intentional. She was able to fight them off, wielding Koschei Red with skill in the dark tunnels, and returned to camp with her hard-won information.

==Crossing Paths: Get Out of Here, Stalker==
===Aspect: Silent but Deadly===
One of Yana's few missions with a partner involved the mysterious Iris Bojka and the kaiju Stalker, rampaging far too near to civilization for comfort. Their teamwork proved surprisingly fruitful, probably due to the fact that neither of them said more than three words to the other. Yana's silence served her well to flank and ambush the kaiju; to date, Stalker remains Yana's only kaiju kill.

Kaiju attacks at night are particularly deadly, given that most people are asleep at night and the beast might not be noticed until it's too late. One evening, Yana was assigned to watch duty with a shy young woman named Sarah Madison. Though Yana was recalcitrant at best to tell Sarah anything about herself, as the night wore on and they became more comfortable with one another, Yana discovered that it was much simpler to open up to one other person under the velvet cover of night than to comport herself in a more serious social situation. By the end of their watch, it could be said that Yana had made a friend.
