==='''khaji Da/Blue Beetle'''=== While a great many sapient species across space have forms close to that of Earth's humans, there are others who are quite distinct, amongst whom are the insectoid Brood. As might be inspected of a people who evolved from insects, their societies are highly regimented, with all Brood being deeply devoted to their hive's Queen, and they are serious and hardworking. While the Brood are typically insular, they do interact at times with other peoples, sending workers trained for the job from birth. One such Brood is Khaji Da, nicknamed "The Blue Beetle" by his friends of other species for the blue exoskeleton, a sign of the mutation which gives him abilities beyond those of his hivemates. Like all Brood, Khaji Da possesses great strength and durability, is able to endure harsh conditions (even the vacuum of space), and can adapt his form to the situation at hand, reshaping his powerful stingers into different weapons. The Brood evolved from a parasitic species who evolved together in symbiosis with their hosts to the point of effectively becoming a single creature. When at risk of death Khaji Da can eject his brain, stored in a scarab-shaped shell and capable of independent movement, from his body, but this leaves him vulnerable unless he hijacks the body of another living creature. He has a telepathic link to other Brood of his hive, though it is limited to fairly close range, and as a dipomat worker, he is naturally capable of understanding any other language. His mutation also provides him with the ability to fire energy blasts or form a defensive energy shield, and he heals much faster than other Brood.
