==The Gender Issue== Players creating Amazons should decided why their character left Amazon society, and how they relate to their culture's traditional opinions of men. Characters should probably (at least initially) take the Persistent Condition Prejudiced (Men). ===Male Amazons?=== Theoretically, any male child of an Amazon would likely inherit the superpowers of an Amazon, though not likely be accepted in Amazon culture. The workers of Hephaestus are such people, racially but not culturally Amazons. A player may, if they wish, create a character that is 'of-Amazon-Decent', with little mechanical difference, provided they come up with a reasonable back-story. The child of an Amazon born off-Island would have the same powers but might have any merits available to normal humans. A character raised by Hephaestus might have any number of strange items or related merits, and could potentially be quite sheltered. Does the character know the circumstances of his birth?
