===Cloud Junkers=== '''Tactics:''' Gaslighting (convincing the world they are innocent), Information Gathering, Secretive Raiding/Scavenging Even their name has become a form of camouflage. Being called a junker makes people tend to look down on you, which makes them think you are incapable of big, nefarious, dastardly acts. While the Cloud Junkers started off as a makeshift clan of salvagers. A collection of misfits and visionaries that joined together because nobody else would take them in. Over the years it became a place where people cast out by society could go and find a home and a purpose. It became a family. That's what many of the members still see it as, and why they support it even though it's turned to more criminal acts. A couple of decades ago a charismatic young woman named Cynder Gray joined the clan. She had a lot of great ideas to expand the Cloud Junkers, and they panned out. They salved lucrative locations and added ships to their budding "Junker Fleet." Cynder soon became Captain of her own ship, and a short time later she was Master of the whole Clan. The problem was, after expanding to such a large size, it became difficult for the Cloud Junkers to sustain themselves. This was the start of their scavenging days. Even if they knew the salvage belonged to another city, organization or clan, they would get their first, pick it clean of all the most expensive salvage, and get out before anybody knew what happened. Even that was not enough. Piracy became an option if they could be sure there would be no witnesses... or survivors left alive to tell the tale. This expanded to the outright raiding camps or small outposts. After Kross invented an Arcane Key that was able to open up ancient vaults sealed for centuries, he saw the Cloud Junkers for what they really were as they raided a vault, killed the other expedition that had been studying it, and looted the ancient site for anything of value. Kross burnt down the ship, with the Arcane Key on it, when everybody was on land celebrating their newfound riches. He thought that was the end of it, but word came about a year later that the Cloud Junkers were still opening up the Ancient vaults. Not only did somebody save the key from being destroyed, but they were also hunting Kross to get him to make them more keys.
