He sighs. "I'm not sure what this means, but apparently, you're to encounter the law, and should look towards the small, not the great, if you're to resolve it. But resolve it you should, and fast!"
Ton Lin nods, then gestures to keep the boy silent.
"But wait, there is more! The wanderer rests in a shelter. He obtains his property and an ax. My heart is not glad. The bird's nest burns up. The wanderer laughs at first, then must needs lament and weep. Through carelessness he loses his cow. Misfortune."
Ton Lin pulls his beard, than frowns.
"Misfortune is quite likely, especially if you fail in the aforementioned lawsuit. If you encounter misfortune, try not to weep. The next one is better".
"Ch'ien — Modesty. It's modesty that creates success. The superior man carries things through. Within the earth, a mountain: Thus the superior man reduces that which is too much, and augments that which is too little. He weighs things and makes them equal."
He shakes his head.
"You should teach the great to be like you, and raise up to greatness. Truly, my boy, Heavens have a lot in store for you!"
Then the diviner leans back and handles you a tablet.
"Here. I have detailed inside the results of many predictions to guide your uncles on the best path. But one of them hints that you shouldn't hurry to bring it to them. I was wondering why...but now I know it".
His eyes seem to flare when he leans forward and croaks.
"You have to walk your own path - and in doing so, become the wonderer, and remind people of modesty! Straying from this would avert the good fortunes of your uncles as well! Only after finding your own path and walking it, can you help them resolve the problem they've asked my help with. Thus, it is imperative for you to find it. If you wish, I could find another messenger. The first line makes it clear, that your path doesn't lead back to home! At least, not immediately."
