==Relationships==
His father died in the war, serving alongside his son.  
His mother is still alive and lives in Qo'noS in a stately home that befits the matriarch of a veteran's and diplomat's family.
He has two brothers and a sister.
His sister has married into a noble house, but they don't have much contact because there is a bit of bad blood between the Patriarch and Shehl being in the diplomatic core associated with Star Fleet.
His older brother hasn't been seen for years, and no one seems to know what he is up to, though he has never been reported as having been killed.  He was working as an arms smuggler when he disappeared.
His younger brother is part of the KDF, and is climbing the ranks nicely.
