Recently, the GDL has supplemented its line of Voidfighters with the introduction of the new Empress-class fighters; Voidfighters which can transform into armored humanoid battle-suits, wielding giant artifact weapons. Only the most elite of pilots can handle these new, untested systems; with one singular exception, each Empress fighter has to be crafted specifically to meet the needs of a single Celestial pilot. Because of the unique flexibility afforded by these new fighters, their pilots have become a priceless utility tool in the GDL’s arsenal; capable of shooting down enemy devas, exploring strange new worlds, or even patrolling the metropolises of Autochthonia.
