''Game System:'' [http://www.antipaladingames.com/minisix.html Mini6] ''Style:'' Swash-buckling ''Game Genre:'' Pseudo-History ''Year:'' Autumn of 1519 ''DM:'' [http://forum.rpg.net/member.php?u=70072 Leitz] ''IC Blurb:'' PCs are introduced by an old friend who recommends them as trust-worthy and in need of work. Like many in Italy these days, the PCs are likely ex-soldiers, very minor nobles, churchmen, sons of wealthy merchants, or others who are out to seek fame and fortune. ''OOC Blurb:'' The thrust of the game will be social interaction though there will be combat, gold, threats, challenges, etc. Players are more like working group members than 'give me the story-line' types. Feel free to add questions or note here. THe game will be "family friendly" in language, although I hope to give the PCs some difficult situations. Also note that should a PC become romantically entangled the scene's curtains will drop for the sake of modesty. Each Scene should run no more than a week, ideally. I'd like to post stuff Sunday evening and let the players resolve things, ask questions, etc, and be onto the next thing by Friday. I do not want you to get bored and bogged down in minutea. Italy was fairly good about allowing females to have rights and activities on their own. Female PCs are equals in the game. Same goes for NPCs. :) Players need to provide some input on how your character knows the other PCs, and the [[ Eroi da Ghedi Character Development Form ]]. You can cut and paste the form and e-mail or PM it to me. ''House Rules.'' Note that these are underdevelopment and we may need to revisit if they are too weak or too strong. Perk 1D Rumor Monger. You seem to have a general idea of what people are talking about. You have no idea of what is true, but you can sometimes tell if the person themselves believes it. Perk 2D Florentine Fighting. You fight with two fencing weapons; rapier and dagger, rapier and cloak, rapier and buckler, etc. Normally a second action in one round is at -1D for both actions, but you can attack and defend with your weapons of choice with no penalty. Perk 1D Scholar. You get 3D to add to skills, However, for any physical skill you do not have a default. That is, unless you spend Skill dice to improve Riding, you have 0D in Riding. Same for Sword, etc. A normal character would have their Controlling Stat as a default in the skill. Perk 1D Authority. You have some legal basis for controlling the actions of some populace segment. Perk 1D Wealth. Normal characters have daily living funds. You have funds for very nice living and can buy one decent thing a month, like a war horse, or support up to three other people. Perk 1D Nobility. You have some position in the upper society of your culture. Perk 1D Land. There's some place you call home 'cause it's yours and your home. Perk 1D Clergy. You are in the church and exempt from some civil laws. Perk 3D Blood Noble. You are related to a major authority figure like the King of France. You can have a Noble who is unlanded and had no authority, or you could do the "Full Noble" thing with Land, Wealth, Authority for a total cost of 4D. Mechanic. For each -4 you take on a "to hit" die roll you add 1D of damage. Note that a parry must meet or beat your to hit, so it's a risky but flashy maneuver. Mechanic. Light Swords like rapiers are based off Agility. Traditional heavy swords, polearms, bows, and crossbows are based off Might. Fencing is a seperate skill from Sword. Mechanic. Spend 1D for 3 different languages at the conversational level, or 1D for "Like a native" level. This includes reading and writing if your character concept supports that.
