CP is a rough estimate of how valuable that thing is. Players often design new PCs with a CP limit of about 2000 CP, not including equipment. Minor NPCs usually have about 1500 CP. The most powerful PCs and legendary heroes have up to 10000 CP. Powerful superheroes could have as much as 30000 CP.
