The name comes from the sign of the oldplace they inhabit, CHAPEL RECORD STORE. They have an old hand-cranked sound system that is the only one around - maybe at all - that can play music without it being blasted into glossolalia by the Storm. They can only play the records they have inside the store, so it is a closed system.
