Once described as "the ghost of all lost cities" the Artifact began as a very used airpost, essentially a flying rock carved with rooms bought by Troubleseeker for her company of assistants.  Over TIME's crazy adventures they acquired numerous treasures, requiring more space to hold everything, which was obtained by the acquisition of more used flying structures many of which were ancient artifacts themselves.  These were all fastened together with metal, mortar, magic, lifts, rickety gangways, and giant tree roots into the pile of ruins seen today.  The Artifact is so large and convoluted that only the staff knows all its hidden corners.

The Artifact is rather slow, lightly armed, and "maneuverable on a geologic timescale".
