==Introduction==

TriStat dX divides protective abilities into the Adaptation, Armor and Force Field. The combined value of these Attributes must be sufficient to stop a light anti-tank weapon, or 40 damage. Similar to weapons, these Attributes may be purchased via an Item of Power. This is a much simpler process overall though because they have fewer options than Special Attack. However, unlike Special Attack, they may include Power Modifier Values and Defects. Adaptation is necessary to protect against environmental threats such as extreme heat, vacuum, and toxic atmospheres. Also unlike weapons the Item of Power Attribute costs 4pts/level when purchased as armor.
