'''Capsule:''' Young socialite Janet Van Dyne became the crimefighter partner of the scientist and superhero [[Ant-Man (Hank Pym)|Hank Pym]] when her father was murdered by an alien being. Pym subjected her to genetic treatments that gave her the powers of a human wasp.

Alongside Hank, Janet was a founding member of the Avengers and has become one of their more important members. Originally a ditzy brunette, the Wasp matured into a capable superheroine, eventually serving as team leader for a long stint. Her relationship with Hank has always been rocky, though. They have married, divorced, and presently are reconciled.

The Wasp actually grows '''stronger''' when she shrinks. After she has 4 ranks of Shrinking engaged, each additional rank also activates 1 rank of Enhanced Strength.

Janet also has (or used to have) the power to communicate with and control insects. She uses this power very infrequently, though. It's best handled as a Power Stunt that requires the expenditure of Hero Points.
