Premise

Scions of Heaven is an Exalted Game, set in the dark and uncertain future at the edge of the Second Age. Our heroes are children and young adults who have known nothing but the idyllic existence that they have found themselves. Their Matron has planned however for the day when her children will win back Creation for a dark evil who evil everyone knows and yet no one does.

Setting

• The Great War
  • No one knows how it happened, but in one fell swoop, the Exalted both tainted and pure were defeated, their shards trapped somewhere in Yu Shan. The Realm was crushed, the Dragonblooded were destroyed or enslaved. The Sword of Creation was rendered inoperative. And a great Misery swept Creation. Once taken a Woman of the purest darkness took the Throne that many Dragonblooded had hoped to posses, and claimed the title Obsidian Empress. Many armies attempted to shatter her young grip on Creation but were destroyed mercilessly, entire sections of land were turned to wasteland where creatures were warped and twisted and nothing grows. Its been 16 years since, and the Obsidian Empress's grip is impossibly strong.
• The Exalted
  • Just before the Great War, the Yozi had sent their Infernal Exalted into Creation using methods cruel and harsh to help Reclaim Creation, to further their goals one Infernal by the name of Novina Illithar attempted to find the Obsidian Sphere, a Prison wherein lay a weapon of unimaginable power. But she was destroyed shortly before that Calibration. Several Solars were active, the Bull of the North being one, they stumbled upon Novina Illithar's notes and decided to find this weapon on their own to help protect Creation and remove the Realm. Several Lunars joined them though not many, the Silver Pact continued their little plans. The Sidereal were in heaven, but a few were in Creation and they two had a vested interest in the weapon being found but not possessed by possibly angry Solars. And the Dragonblood were entering into their Civil War, supremacy to take control of the Throne. The Abyssals were active too but sadly they had jumped early and they were turned aside at every turn when the Solars and Lunars joined the hunt for the Weapon.
  • Just when all seemed to follow each groups plans the Obsidian Empress appeared and with her was a storm of devastating power. One by one the Solars, the Lunars, the Infernals, and the Abyssals were wiped from Creation, their shards running back to Lytek, all of them, the threads that bound the Infernals, the Pull that held the Abyssals shattered in one go. The Dragonblooded were severely defeated, and pushed to the Thresholds, where they were slowing being picked off. The Shadowlands were quickly covered, no one knows why they disappeared from Creation but they have. After the devastation was over and the smoke had cleared the Sidereal were forced into oaths. For 16 years no Celestial Exalts save the Sidereal have been seen, and those Exalts are hated and detested for their actions and inactions that have handed Creation to the Obsidian Empress.
