Elena is starting to come into her own, but lacks all but the basest understandings of what she is capable of. Her natural protectiveness drives her towards learning how to defend herself and others, but the danger she sees in Wisp pushes her harder. She greatly dislikes having to depend on Wisp appearing in order to help, and strives for more control over her capabilities. In addition she is starting to recognize her own talents, inherited from her mother but so far unrefined. Being motherly by nature, she is working to enhance what abilities she has so she can better aid her new family.

"Elias, put down the frying pan before you kill us all."

Statistics

Real Name: Elena Snark

Aliases: Wisp, Construct 17

Age: 22 (kinda)

Race: Modified Human

Power Level: ?

Position: Maid, Conscience

Eyes: Light Blue

Hair: Blonde

Appearance

Because her body is a construct, she has not really aged since the events that made it so. As such, she appears as a teenage girl version of Elias in a maid outfit due to being his twin.

Background

Born to Sonia the Dragonslayer and Luthor Snark along with her twin brother Elias on the plane of Everchill, her childhood was comparatively normal considering the only parent present was the mad scientist. Being an immigrant and because of her family situation, she was often bullied. Elias took it on himself to protect her from this, resulting in her assuming the role of caretaker, as Elias was hopeless at actually taking care of himself.

After being poisoned on Empress Niko's orders to get her father to work on Project W.I.S.P., she became a subject of it and was modified into the being known appropriately enough as Wisp. Elias took her with him when he fled Everchill, hoping to find a way to restore her soul. Without a soul, she was effectively an emotionless automaton. It was not until the mysterious Vicar found and restored her soul (unknown to most of TIME) that she became herself again.

Personality

Elena is the moral backbone of the Snark family. Her responsible streak led to her to take on the role of caretaker for not just her brother but their father as well, trying to fill in for their absent mother. Most often this took the form of things like making sure they didn't eat week old leftovers or wear clothes that hadn't been washed in three months. She is very good at most household activities (cooking, cleaning, etc.) after years of practice, and is probably the sole reason the male members of the Snark household aren't dead of food poisoning or suffocation by their own filth.

Notably, she is preposterously bad at knitting but believes she's really good at it. Clothing she makes may actually qualify as a torture device in most cultures. Elias wears what she makes for him without a fuss.

Since her transformation into Wisp and the restoration of her soul, Elena has slid back into "Wisp mode" on several occasions, normally when involving significant danger to herself or those around her. It has so far been brief, with Wisp appearing long enough to counter or avoid whatever life threatening situation arises before Elena regains herself. Though initially some incompatibility between the two sides of herself caused memory loss, the events while on Thelmessia resulted in a reconfiguration of the interface with some help from Melog. Since then Wisp has not resurfaced, possibly because Wisp no longer has to force control to follow her directives.

Though it takes some effort to bring it out, Elena looks to have inherited Sonia's temper as well as her skills. It's easier to see how she and Elias are related in these moments, but also completely terrifying. For reference, see Yangire, Berserk Button, Beware The Nice Ones, and possibly even Unstoppable Rage 0_0

Powers

Elena has grown quite adept at summoning various weapons/kitchen utensils when needed. Her aim is impeccable, the impressive skill she showed with throwing knives before her death only having improved through Wisp. Her melee skills have grown as well, following her mother's love of swords but not limiting herself to them. She possesses Sonia's fighting instincts, yet she is still untrained in many respects. In contrast to Elias, her style has more finesse, but her inexperience counters her natural ability. Between the two Elias is still the stronger brawler.

The minor healing Wisp showed has carried over to Elena, but seems to have grown in ability. It has managed to heal significantly more damage than before, though with a noticeable drain on Elena's body in return.

She has so far used it only once and only when Wisp, but somewhere within the W.I.S.P. programming is a means to generate a defensive energy field. Elias is so far the only one to witness this, as Elena has no recollection of it happening.

Since the battle with Vera she has also begun manifesting a curious ability to mimic powers used against her. As of now it has only happened when she slips into her Wisp persona or through accidental (perhaps instinctual) use. It so far has only happened when around large sources of energy, and has paired itself with Elena growing more energetic and possibly erratic. It was severe overexposure to the energy generated by the Magical Girl curse that caused a breakdown and necessitated a reboot. So far TIME has not encountered anything to trigger this ability again, so how it will effect her now is unknown.

The reboot also seemed to solve her energy issues. It's possible the massive overdose of Love and Justice(TM) only gave her a large reservoir to pull from. She remains without a primary power source, but between what her body supplies and part of the W.I.S.P. redesign involving absorbing ambient sources of energy she seems to have her power needs met.

Recently she has started showing signs she isn't as even tempered as she thought she was. She may, in fact, possess a strong dose of Dragonslayer blood after all. Flying off the handle and succeeding at stupidly dangerous things isn't normal. But on Dragonslayer it is.

Motivations

Elena is starting to figure out that she is more capable of the adventuring life than she first believed. With her problems with Wisp (apparently) resolved at least for now, she's focusing more on what she can do to be helpful than avoiding being a hindrance. She's taken it on herself to see that everyone is fed properly, even if Tyroth is proving a challenge to figure out exactly what that entails. While nowhere near the team Mom, she does her best to keep the peace when merited.
