IC

Abbreviation for "In Character". Refers to things specific to the character as opposed to the player; or, referring to things within the game world (the fictional world where the characters live) as opposed to things in real life. For example, a character's training with a wizard to learn better spells is IC, while the player learning which dice to roll when his character casts it is OOC.
