"Sure, I served under her when she was a Chuzei.  She's a bad sort of soldier; the sort that thinks she's better than her rank.  I don't want to give you the wrong idea; she was a good lieutenant.  She knew her tactics, she knew how to drill, she knew how to get her men to fight for her and she knew how to take orders.  But there's more to soldiering than that.  Soldiering is about keeping your head where it belongs.  You get to thinking you deserve a promotion and you start to put your men in tough situations to see if they can win it for you.  That's the sort of thinking that'll get a scale wiped out.
