Though Mort was tithed to Nehal at a young age, as an Ogryn his training was more succinct and recent, being given less priority than his usefulness in manual labour and other simple menial duties. Formerly restricted to ports and backwaters, the awkwardly friendly giant does not quite fit in amongst the other Progena, and even for one of his limited intelligence the meaning of Nehalese sayings and idioms tend to go over his head.
