Calvin was born into a close nuclear family in a district in the northwest quadrant of Rust City that is about halfway to the core. Story goes that the area is called "Little Ireland" because the gangways, piping, and such are all a distinctive green. After a decent childhood in the thick urban environment, he dropped out of school as he had fallen to the temptation of safety and friendship of a local gang. Although his mother talked him into getting his GED, she could not change his path. Calvin argued with his father that the Angels were a force for good in Rust City, but his father was displeased, "The secret of Rust City is balance. What does your little band of thuggish vigilantes know of that?"

With that conversation, Calvin left the 300 sf home for the wild wild world. He is still in contact with his family, although they only hear from him when he makes the call. For the past year he's been living on the streets, such as they are in Rust City. Someday he'll be great. But right now, he's just a kid.

• Angels: Depending on when one might check, the Angels are a group numbering 30-50 made up of kids in their late teens. They arm themselves with baseball bats and the like. They also wear homemade pieces armor usually consisting of sports equipment. Although not strong enough to threaten other gangs, when the Angels are on their own turf they hold their own. They are effective at keeping most overt crime at bay and the people of Little Ireland pay for their service with food and board. It is a friendly arrangement, however the gang does get rowdy at times, causing more problems than they solve.
