Beastmen have a combination of animal and human characteristics. They are often humanoid or at least more anthropomorphic than normal animals.
- bear folk
- Bear folk are sometimes mistaken for wild bears who can also stand upright on their hind legs and tamed bears who are sometimes dressed up and trained to do tricks.
- centaur
- Centaurs have a human body from the hips upward attached to the body of a horse where the neck should go.
- griffiger
- The griffiger has the head and wings of an eagle combined with the body of a tiger. The griffiger's tail can't make up it's mind, being long like a cat's tail but stiff and feathered like a bird's pygostyle.
- lizard men and serpent folk
- Reptilian beastmen such as snakemen, serpent men, lizardmen, and dragon-people are stereotypical foes of fur-clad sword-and-sorcery heroes. Some are humanoid with reptilian faces, others have tails, no legs or even extra limbs such as wings.
- seuss
- The seuss are beastmen with a combination of dog or rabbit-like features, floppy ears, gangly limbs, narrow shoulders and a low center of gravity.
