Melvin Jackson is the managing director of the Blush Bismuth Mine on Highgate. He was appointed to that position at the request of his father, Calvin Jackson, a relatively well placed executive at [[Corporations#Corone|Corone Mining]]. Melvin appears to be fairly incompetent and somewhat delusional about his role in life. Melvin Jackson is the managing director of the Blush Bismuth Mine on Highgate. He was appointed to that position at the request of his father, Calvin Jackson, a relatively well placed executive at Corone Mining. Melvin appears to be fairly incompetent and somewhat delusional about his role in life. He may fantasize about a more exciting life as a high stakes gambler, or parliamentary agent, but he is basically a paper pusher on a back water planet.
