- History and Personality:Aglar is a canoe-maker's apprentice. While he has a talent for making and repairing the canoes so valued by fishermen and river-traders, he is also an inveterate gambler. After winning a great deal of gold from some of the town's finer citizens in a game of dice, his winnings were confiscated and he was ordered to seek his fortunes elsewhere for a year. The town elders hope that a year's banishment will improve Aglar's morals.
