Background

Mereen is the 3rd child and only daughter of His Royal Majesty Fen Dagobah, Master of the Weirwood Throne, Lord Commander of the Marsh Armies and High King of the swamp planet Quagmeera. Trained from birth in both the warrior ways of her people and the "social graces" of the royal court, Mereen's father intended for her to one day marry one of the lords of Quagmeera. However all of that changed when Mereen caught the eye of Empress Mechanica who demanded the primitive royal be handed over to her to as an exotic pet, and as a way to keep the savage marsh men in line for fear that any rebellion would bring harm to their beloved Princess.

With the help of Commander Kat Cartwright, Hero of Star Patrol, the Princess escaped from Empress Mechanica's menagerie. That day Mereen swore her undying oath to Kat Cartwright and has since become the Commander's faithful companion in the never-ending battle to end the Cyber Empress's mechanized tyranny, all the while being pursued by Mechanica's game wardens who seek to see the savage beauty once again locked behind a glass viewing window.
