Highlights
- Mayor Gray met Dominic by the roadside, almost had her servants beat him, found the key to the Tower
- Underofficer Ulysses tried to keep Hadrian Birchbark out of the town, and succeeded in taking his bag of herbs, the focus for his Druidism
- Jack tried to recruit Dominic into his mercenary company, but Dominic rebuffed him, instead joining the Guard
- Dominic informed Ulysses that the Mayor had the key.
- Ulysses told Overofficer Adrian the Mayor had the key. Adrian demanded Ulysses stick Dominic someplace out of the way, so the Lord would not find out the key was lost.
- Hadrian Birchbark petitioned the Lord to have the Tower demolished, as it was blocking construction of an important ley line bypass
- "Half-cocked" Jack's mercenary company were camped outside of town, and Jack was looking for a "contract" with Lord Darkmantle
- Lord Darkmantle was possessed by the demon Tef (right name??) and acting very strangely
- Mayor Gray demanded the Lord provide protection to the towns folk, and withheld the taxes to do it.
- Lord Darkmantle gave Jack all the town's money as a "contract fee" as well as the Lord's wife, in a demon addled action
- Adrian broke into the Mayor's home, and stabbed the Mayor to get the key. Ulysses betrayed Adrian to defend her. The Mayor gave the Key to Ulysses for safe-keeping.
- Hadrian and Jack met and discovered a common interest; Hadrian wanted the Tower destroyed and Jack wanted the Flame Lances within. They made common purpose to get the Key.
- Big confrontation with three sides; Lord Darkmantle/Ulysses and Mayor/Hadrian and Jack, to get the key. Hadrian and Jack get the key, and Hadrian exorcises the worm-like demon from the Lord, pocketing it. Ulysses betrays the mayor and sides with his brother, Jack.
- Hadrian and Jack go to the Tower and empty it of the Flame Lances. Hadrian gives Jack's siege-gnome the demon, who eats it.
- Big fight between Darkmantle, Mayor/Ulysses, Hadrian, Jack. Hadrian switches sides when he realizes Jack will burn the forest. Ulysses also switches side (again). Tower is destroyed, but Lord Darkmantle keeps the Flame Lances (??).
- Hadrian wanders off into forest, Jack retreats in good order, and the rest bicker over power as the camera pans away.
