In the afternoon of 10 September, Bertie launches the cover for our cunning plan: taking out the ladies of the evening to a picnic on the lakeside, only to have their pleasure boat stolen by 'gypsies' in the twilight. Whereupon we arrive on the island of Lake Bled under cover of darkness and battle the imps and the giant keeping the chapel there. Anton and Valerie stage a stunning air bombardment of the Rembecki's castle by means of Ascenders and we mop up the last of the resistance at the island chapel preparatory to reconsecration of the grounds. | |||
