Fres Mira is a long time companion of Deirdre who came to Amber after one of her sojourns in shadow.
Her shadow of origin is unknown and she does not speak of it. It was a militant one. Deirdre entered her in the military and in time she served in the Elites.
Soon after leaving military service she began working the it administration of Amber, mostly military relief, and filled many role over the course of a dozen centuries. Eventually she was granted a title and retired from public service.
As a civilian she is very active in the Civilian City Cohorts
