Troublemaker: When helping a teammate, Anansi may do so in a destructive, criminal, and/or rule breaking way to give a +2 instead of the normal +1.

Are you Watching Closely: Mislead/distract/trick someone - Roll + Superior. On a 10+ they're fooled, plus choose 3 options. 7-9 they're fooled + choose 2 options: Get an opportunity, Expose a weakness or flaw, Confuse them for some time, Avoid further entanglement. On a failure, mark 1 condition.

Fake History (rumors about his mysterious background)

1. Heir to the Wakandan kingdom of the Spider Clan, Anansi ran away to the United States to face villainy first-hand before ascending to the throne.

2. . . . or, he came to run from the responsibility of leading an entire nation.

3. Former protege of Mysterio, Anansi took advantage of his trust and stole his equipment. Ever since he's been using his weapons and technology for good.

Backstory

• Boka was born as a mutant with the ability to control emotions. This once got him in trouble when he hit puberty and had little control over his abilities. Since then he's learned both how to hide his powers and how to keep his heroic identity separate from the traditional issues faced by other mutants.
• Boka loves parkour and skateboarding, spending an inordinate amount of his time practicing. He also grimly delights in amplifying the emotions of nervous people to force them to act
• Ms. Bloom, a science teacher at Boka's school has seen how hard he tries when he's really into a cause. She thinks he's working through a rebellious phase, and can grow into a highly skilled and functional adult with just a little bit of support. So far, she's put in a good word to keep him from being expelled from high school.
• Boka tries to be a hero out of both a need to belong, and fear of being a mutant. He's tried to create an aura of being a mystically themed, spider-man related hero in hopes that it will help him keep distance from mutant issues.
• Boka cares about his teammates because he thinks they're all better people than he is. He's 'playing' at being a hero in order to avoid being attacked by giant robots and thrown into death camps, they're actually heroes.
