The Rogue's Gallery

The Big Man
An up-and-coming crime lord who will challenge the Kingpin, notable for his gigantic size (bigger and stronger than Wilson Fisk!), mysterious background, and the high-tech weapons that his minions use. His secret, however, is that he's a very short person piloting a much larger robot suit that's disguised as a heavily-clothed crimelord, a genius who is MUCH closer to someone significant than they realize...

The Crocodile
Ayanye of the crocodile tribe. One of a trio of secret assassins, serves as the groups super powered muscle. He's taken offence to rumors of Anansi being from Wakanda, and has more than once shown up to try and take Boka's head as payment for this insult.

Fox
A burglar who sells her services to high priced buyers for goods that are otherwise not available. Boka has a serious crush on her and she often uses it to throw him off his game. She's a skilled fighter and a master of disguise, but without super powers, it's her manipulation that makes her a reoccurring member of his rogues gallery.

Mysteria (BLUE only)
Misty Beck - The human daughter of Mysterio (not the robot he also named Misty before she was born). She has largely assumed Boka stole her father's technology and has come after him to defeat him and take back all the work he's supposedly stolen from her father.

Sanguine
A person joined to a symbiote spawn of Venom (or possibly Carnage, or maybe even Wolf Spider) who has unfortunately decided to turn what was originally a cult of personality into an actual cult, grown initially from the rest of the club kids he perpetually hung out with. The entire thing is run as a massive self-gratification exercise for Sanguine who feels like this is finally his chance to be Somebody. His cult, which runs off a vaguely pseudo-mystical nonsense hodgepodge nominally about 'blood' whose specifics change depending on his whims, is growing as it preys on disaffected young adults in the club scene with symbiote literally feeding on Sanguine's ego and pushing him to greater heights and lows.

Stegron II
An anthropomorphic stegosaurus who turns people into dinosaurs (more in line with 2020s era paleontological knowledge - feathers and all that where appropriate). He claims to be the son of the original Stegron but no one has seen him in decades so it's hard to confirm... though, it's hard to dispute that this guy IS an anthropomorphic stegosaurus and there just aren't that many of those running around.

Tiger (BLUE only)
Mansa Pembroke, Boka's older brother is five years older than Boka. Mansa was a gifted student and promising archeologist when he came across the Jade Tiger Amulet. This granted him the power of the White Tiger. It was a power that intoxicated him and transformed him into a villain. When they last clashed, Mansa was about to kill Boka, who pulled off his mask to give his brother pause, before Boka knocked him out and got him arrested. Through his experiments, Mansa has gotten the amulet to fuse into his chest. It cannot be removed, and now Mansa, betrayed by his younger brother, seethes behind bars.

Citizens of New York

Angelica "Firestar" Jones
Retired from the super life. She currently works as a school counselor for a New York high school. She isn’t anti-supers so much as she’s anti-child supers. She’s seen and experienced a number of things during her hero career that she would not wish on innocent kids.

"Fast Eddie" Freeman
Elijah Myron Handleman (aka "Fast Eddie") rules the digital airways from his streaming radio show SuperFail from 7-10 every weekday, focusing on lampooning the caped world. If a hero, especially a young hero, makes a blunder you can bet they'll get their own segment all about it. Eddie strikes a chord with people who feel like their lives are in the hands of masked weirdos which means his audience is large and he never steps into being outright offensive - he rakes groups like the Watchdogs and Friends of Humanity over the coals as well - thus as of yet it's more seen as taking your lumps among the hero community than a real problem like those editorial rants in the Daily Bugle.

Kaine "Spidercop" Parker
Kaine Parker: After having his form stabilized by Reed Richards, Kaine Parker had plastic surgery, choosing his own identity and became an officer of the law. His strange physiology caused him to age slower than normal and he remains a member of the police force, though promotions generally keep him off the street and speaking with reporters and occasionally acting as a police liaison with the local superheroes.

Shan Lee
The first Asian American Mayor of NYC, ran on a campaign of “believing truth and facts” and several progressive campaign promises. Conspiracy theorists think the new mayor is going to defund the police into oblivion and replace them with ”costumed whack jobs“. Lee’s office has released statements celebrating “decades of New York’s finest and the superhero community working together to protect citizens from threats both ordinary and bizarre”. So it seems Mayor Lee supports supers. Is Mayor Lee on the up and up, or is there something sinister they’ve done or are doing that hasn’t been revealed yet? Only time will tell.

Other Superheroes

Hawkeye
Kate Bishop, who's now come into her own as an adult and all mature (Sort of, not really). She's done the Avenger thing, up to an including putting an arrow through an Infinity Stone, but finds she's much happier with her boots on the ground and not flying hither and yon in a Quinjet though she's of course still a Reserve Avenger. Kate considers herself a sort of Avengers sentinel (lower case, not upper case, those are something else and a public relations nightmare) keeping an eye on New York and making sure people remember that the Avengers do have a presence in their birthplace. If you asked her she'd probably say something like 'my office is the streets' but she is probably only doing it to quote some terrible 80's cop movie and amuse herself.

Neighborhood Watch
A young mutant with the ability to transform into 8 young mutants. He's a one man gang who chases away as much neighborhood crime as he can.

Nike
A well-established heroine; her known powers are winged flight, superhuman physical capabilities (Strength, speed, stamina-- she's got the whole set) and a truly incredible ability to fight, using a variety of weapons of considerable power that she seems to pull out of nowhere. One persistent rumor is that she doesn't actually have a secret identity, and simply is the actual Greek Goddess of Victory. In any case, she's extremely serious, takes on every challenge with grim determination, and doesn't have a lot of patience for nonsense or jokes.

X-23 / The Unkillable Iron Fist
She's a mutant clone who was trained in mountain monasteries and is primarily tasked with dealing with martial artists, supernatural threats, and mystic societies. Plus her hands are both knives AND on fire. So that's rad. She's the sort of heroine who tells us to stay out of her business and to go home before we get hurt.
