Background

Formerly a battle wizard in some unspecified country's army, Faustina lost her job after political maneuvering by rivals saw her resigning her commission in disgust. The last laugh was hers, however, because a mighty dragon descended upon the country and laid waste to it, smashing through

And if she had anything to do with summoning it, she's not saying.

Faustina took with her Deathwing, her personal griffon mount, her lieutenant Mia (called during a botched planar binding spell, but she ended up liking Faustina and so signed on permanently with her), and the rest of her command staff (most of whom were "conveniently" on vacation when the dragon attacked). However, caring and feeding for all these people was expensive, especially Deathwing, who eats a cow every day (though it can be supplanted by, say, people). She also liked living the good life, which was similarly expensive.

Thus, she turned to the mercenary circles, offering her services as a trained military officer and summoning specialist.

Party Relations

Orok: "A quasi-cannibalistic dragon-eating orc warrior who's arguably even scarier than one. He combines the brutal ferocity of his race with an unexpected intelligence and some small degree of magical talent. Though I wish he'd stop fighting with Deathwing over the corpses of the dragons we kill."

Jack: "Bloodline-type arcane magician, direct fire specialty. Seems to have picked up some training in the Abjurant Champion discipline. Favors charging into battle alongside Orok, which is, in my opinion, a stupid thing to do. Mind you, he's very good at it, so he's more than welcome to carry on doing so.

Ranklin: "Primal-type divine magician, spellcasting / shapeshifting specialty. Changes himself into an animal and tears things to bits with his companion. I'm starting to think that every spellcaster in this group except myself is setting out to defy the stereotype of commanding from the rear."

Alain: "Doesn't talk much. Looks to be a close combat and infiltration specialist. Possibly from noble background, but again, he doesn't talk about it and I have no interest in prying.
