Port Freedom
Port Freedom is one of the stellar nations.
On the edge of Human space and very close to the T'sa Empire, Port Freedom was a central battle ground during the Stellar War.
The system is home to the Head Quarters of the Galactic Alliance and is the diplomatic center of known space.
Tidas is the only inhabited planet. It was simple to terraform and is now "Earth-like". However. there was some controversy about that.
The planets natural atmosphere was toxic, but the planet also contained native single celled life. By changing the atmosphere humans made the planet uninhabitable to its native life.
As a result, the planet has a number of large bio-domes that simulate the planets original condition and contain the last living specimens of its native inhabitants.
