- Specific duties:
- Initiates are assigned several lay members to command and are expected to oversee their training, supply and fitness for combat. They must also spend one week every season protecting the local community with guard duty. Once a year the initiate may be ordered to participate in a special mission, usually acting as a backup or skirmisher.
