миш or "Mische" (pron. "Meesh") is a lurker on Grasshopper Station, supremely plugged into everything that goes on in the alleyways and byways. She's admitted to being a Reader in Niska's employ and has hinted that she would like to leave, but can only do that if Niska is dead.
A pudgy man with a bureaucratic air, the man is known for his ruthless enforcement of the Station's neutrality in some rather ... unconventional ways. The Director has a distinct taste for torture in meting out punishments for breaking station laws.
