Often called Choura ("dancer") by her friends, Danilova was born in Russia outside of Leningrad (then St. Petersburg not long after the turn of the century. She recieved the finest dance education available in the world, having trained at both the Russian Imperial Ballet and the Soviet State Ballet. She is currently one of the few Russian-born ballerinas touring in Western Europe (the only one to have trained at the Imperial Ballet) and performs with the Balleta Russes, or "Russian Ballet," which is, curiously, based out of Paris. She is currently only a soloist with the troupe, but hopes to someday recieve promotion to prima ballerina.
