Currency of the Round World
Gold and silver are as rare and precious in the Round World as in our own. Most ‘gold pieces’ are made from a weak gold-copper alloy. Though their value is standard across the Realm, they are locally (and often crudely) minted. The symbol of Jaser is frequently stamped on one face (the 'angel' side) of such money to ward against the evils of usury or foul play.

Larger, pure ‘Big Gold’ coins are worth between 10-100gps each, depending on their issue. Only merchants -and thieves- seem to have ready knowledge of these coins' elaborate numismatics and value.

The most valuable coins known are Turban ‘desert moons’, heavy gold-platinum disks worth several hundred gps apiece.
