INVASION FROM THE CENTER OF THE EARTH - Part I: "the Avengers Cometh"
Size comparison against the face of Big Ben.
RIPPER RECAP:
Game opening, as the page turned we (the audience) saw a slightly dented helm atop the shoulders of a man in midevil platemail, apparently "upgraded" with a more modern Victorian taste. The armored man toiled with hammer and chisel, wrestling a large mettle "hand" that was immediately recognizable as the minute hand of a giant clock. A black bird swooped in to perch on the crooks helm before being swatted away. As we pull backward to reveal the height overlooking the Thames...
BIG BEN was nearing midnight. seven minutes to the witch's hour as the massive time piece halts with the crooks molestations.
Far below the stilts on which the car-burglar stands look only as lamp posts to the casual walker-by. But not to the man seeking this crook tonight. And with a ramming thud "the London Tower" fell as he made petty theft on the clockface of Big Ben. The Ripper toppled him and though the audience didn't see the deed, the man's brains were opened up as a can of beans and stolen or perhaps fed on by this Ripper!
  • mini-GM Commentary:
    London Tower = Stilt-Man.
    London Tower, it HAD to be London Tower as the first victim of the Ripper! LT is the Victorian analogue for Marvel Comics "Stilt-Man"]. I love the Stilt-Man in that cheesy-cool stupid but neat C-Tier level villain way. So you see... the 1st victim of the Ripper in our setting HAD to be Stilt-Man.  :)
