Cleared Land

To the north of Ingsby, an area of 20 acres or so has been recently cleared by -NAME A FEW PEASANTS- for an expansion as assart lands. They paid Sir Dennis for the privilege.

This area contains scattered stumps, a few piles of brush and branches, and the marks of several bonfires. More work (removing stumps, mostly) is still needed before these fields can be put into production.

Half a dozen large racks, made of branches, hold leaves from the ash and elm trees formerly growing here. These leaves will be dried during the summer and fall, and fed to cattle in the winter.
