House Rule: Action Points

Action Points in The Shadow over Cyre work slightly differently as they are, basically, justifications for breaking the rules for a single round. Spending an action point, more or less, allows a character to perform a stunt that more or less does something epic. Examples would be running up the sides of the walls, Thelia's "Have you heard the Voice of the Shadow?" finishing move, or shooting through a half dozen guys with a single arrow like Indiana Jones.

They can kill mooks with impunity and do tremendous damage to named NPCs.
