Concept: Traveller, Courier and sometimes Spy
Description: In her true form, Bright Snow is a small woman of slight build, her extensive moonsilver tattoos barely show up against her pale snow white skin. Her equally white hair hangs to just below her shoulders and is normally kept out of the way of her cold sea green stare. Her most common outfit in this form is a short mauve skirt over mauve stockings and a red patterned basque with a pair of matching red mousquetaire gloves. She does not favour any of her true forms, so it rare to see her in this or her spirit shape.

She does have two other favoured human forms that she has stolen over the years. One is that of the Dragonblooded Tepet Argona, a Child of Mela that foolishly participated in a Sidereal lead Wyld Hunt twenty-five years ago. Argona's was a woman with short red hair, pale skin and brown eyes who was not yet showing the whitening so common to older members of her Aspect. Over the years Snow has built up the identity as an asset to the Immaculate Order, now an asset to spy on the rebels who plot against the deliberative. In this form she wears blue gowns, few sensible and all marked with the markings of a member of house Tepet.

Her other favoured form is that of a nameless young girl, who had her mind eaten by Rakasha when Snow found her, taking pity on her Snow quickly put her out of her misery aware the form could be of use. In this form she appears a youngish girl just past adolescence, with bright blue eyes and shoulder length brown hair. In the past this form tended to wear humble peasant fair but in this age of the Deliberative, it is this form she favours while acting as a Deliberative Courier and thus tends to wear brown leather coat, suitable to shield herself from the cold of operating her swift rider over a white linen shirt, tan trousers and good leather riding boots. She refers to herself in this form by the unimaginative name of Young and Maiden Bright.

Artefact •••••••

Amulet of Shadow Walking (Artefact •••••)

    • A gift from Snow's first mentor Tears of Amber, the Amulet takes the form of a simple moonsilver buckle on an ornate black leather belt, decorated with Onyx and Silver decoration.
    • Concealment: +2 dice to stealth/concealment, increases to +4 when actively hiding in shadow/darkness.
    • Shadow Form: May reflexively dematerialise for 10m and 1wp. Standard rules apply. Is attackable but may be done in response to an attack. Five minute cooldown when dropped. Can be dropped at will.
    • Shadowstep: Reflexively teleport via shadows for 5m to anywhere character can see within Essence x 10 yards (50 yrds). For 15m and 1wp can take someone along and range increases to 1 mile.

Triumph (Artefact ••• and Ally/Familiar ••)

  • "Triumph" - Awakened AI of the Swift Rider ••
    • Triumph is Bright Snow's only long term companion on her journey and even then their being together is an accident. While fleeing Li Jin Gang, after an altercation between them that sundered their master pupil relationship Snow acquired this Swift Rider from one of De'aneir'a Sera Vestra's workshops, assuming it belonged to one of her assistants. Discovering instead that the Swift Rider had instead been a test platform for one of the Solar's AI experiments, designed to produce a brighter awakened spirit to run her skyships. This Swift Rider was the home of one TR1-MPH, the least god of the bike that De'aneir'a was trying to mould into a minor god of travel. Frankly afraid to return the item, Snow kept fleeing, slowly forming a strong friendship with the God/AI which she dubbed Triumph. Triumph himself was failing to perform well in De'aneir'a's trials, being outperformed by several other test projects. Being stolen by Snow he saw as a golden opportunity to flee his eventual decommishioning and see the world for himself. Simply put Triumph's intellect is still rather adolencent, not at all what De'aneir'a required for her Skyship AI's and at times he descends into downright childishness but as he and Snow travel he is learning and perhaps when he is returned he won't be such a failure after all.

Creation Surveying Recorder (Artefact •••)

  • Attuning for 4 motes this Artefact acts as the following lesser artefacts rolled into a small 5 by 3 by 1 box crafted of Moonsilver, Adamant Crystals and Jade.
    • Recorder of Everlasting Glories (pg.63 BoS1:WotLA) that also produces printed stills of any scene it has recorded (at a a cost of 1 mote per still)

    • It also possesses a Hearthstone socket. Currently contains The Archivist's Gem.

Kiss of the Silver Serpent (Artefact •••)

  • Snow found this artefact amongst the ruined dreamscape of her mother's court, shortly after she had killed her and scattered her retainers to the nine winds of the wyld. This Moonsilver Weapon has three forms. The first and most commonly seen is that of a silver bracelet that wraps around the wielders forearm, its head and flickering tongue just resting in the wearers palm (the eyes are a hearthstone socket). By an act of will (reflexive diceless action costing 1 mote) the weapon can take the form of one of two weapons, either a Dire Lance or a Short Daiklave (pictured). For two motes the weapon can fire of a blast of frozen venom, for which the weapon is named, this can be done in any form this venom is identical to coral snake venom except that it will impact as a frozen silver shard.

Backing: The Deliberative •

  • Snow in the guise of Young And Maiden Bright technically works for the Deliberative as a Courier, which supplies a small strip-end. Were she to use her own form and take up her position as a Deliberator she could probably get a far larger backing but this much more eminently suits her purposes.

Backing: The Winding Path •••

  • Snow's first mentor, the No Moon called Tears of Amber (See History Section for full details) was a relatively experienced and elder member of the Winding Path until her death. Despite being a Changing Moon, Snow was and is viewed as her successor amongst the society and though over the last fifteen years she has refused to step up to that position and much of her influence has waned the Winding Path still provides resources to her from time to time in hopes she will. Amusingly her current project is viewed as a possible first step in that direction.

Manse • (Snow's Rest)

Lunar Manse
This Manse was built for especially for Snow via sorcery by Tears of Amber, this small almost stately cottage is a bolt hole for when things go wrong. Perched high in the cliffs above the Inner Sea, it is normally cast in deep shadows during the day and make the place even darker during the night. The only real approach to the Manse is from the air, simple enough for a Lunar really. Snow hasn't been here in years, not since she slightly before she started her journey.

  • Hearthstone: Gem of Shadows
  • Features:
    • Magical Convinences
      • The Kitchen will prepare any meal when presented with fresh ingredients and always has clean water available.
    • Network Node, in the form of a large crystiline screen.

Manse • (Eagle's Spire)

Air Manse
This mountain summit manse lays within the Deliberative controlled Blessed Isle. Re-designed ilike several Air Manses in secret by several members of the Winding Path, Snow was granted use of one of it. The manse takes the shape of a low crystal monument to some forgotten creature holding a tome, it is unclear who this creature was Air Aspect, Deva or Twilight but it was obviously dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. When activated with the correct password the monument holds up the tome which displays knowledge stored within the Manse's Archive.

  • Hearthstone: Archivist's Gem (• Air)
    • Allows all things recorded by an attached artefact to be stored within the Manse's (or any connected Manses') Archives.
  • Habitability: 2
  • Features: Unknown.
    • Archive
    • Network Node
    • Password Protections

Resources ••

  • Snow does not really value money but carries enough both to get by and for emergencies. By and far she uses it to pay for brief accommodation and rations.

Solar Bond ••••• & Eternal Vow

  • Snow is aware she has a Solar Mate, her mentor and the Pack taught her enough about that. She is also aware that they share a strong bond and occasionally experience a flash of thoughts and feelings that are not her own. On the other hand, she sees no reason to seek out this mate as she has no desire to be caged.

Sifu •

  • Acquired from her time as a pupil of Li Jin Gang, Snow possesses a series of scroll's written in archaic Old Realm detailing the techniques of Crystal Chameleon and another style she does not understand. Thus far it has managed to supplement her initial training very well.

Merits and Flaws

Merits

Flaws

Unusual Appearance 2: Fae Blooded

Born of a Rakasha Noble, known as the Queen of Frost, even now as a chosen of Lunar her heritage of madness shows. Some find it gives her a remarkably exotic quality, others find it shameful, how Snow views it is not discussed. Unless of course you count the extreme reluctance in her use of her True Forms, though of course there may be other reasons for that...

Rival 3: Li Jin Gang

Snow and Li were close once, prior to the return of the Solar's and the upheaval of the current era. After Tears of Amber died, Li was one of a few younger Lunar's that wished vengeance upon the Sidereal led Wyld Hunt. Bringing together Snow and seven other Lunars, he lead them against the Hunt where they slew several of the Fivefold Fellowship but failed to kill the leader.

For a time afterwards, in an attempt to build her own combat prowess under an undisputed Master, Li was Snow's Sifu, enabling her to learn the basics of her art before disappearing. When she found him again it was just after the formation of the Celestial Deliberative and members of the Winding Path found themselves pushed to the edges of Silver Pack policy. For awhile she trained with Li content to see the situation sort itself out, till an altercation between the two on the Deliberative floor.

Harsh words were said, mostly between Li and Snow, words that flared Li's worst failing as a martial artist, his love of talking with his fists. Having called him on just that, the fight that erupted lasted just long enough for Snow to make a fighting retreat from the chamber. Some stay she hasn't stopped running.

Intolerance 2: Sidereals

Sidereals were responsible for her beloved Mentor's death and all her dealings with them were as adverseries. History in this case has taught her well and she holds an inate distrust and dislike of the Chosen of the Maidens.

History

Early Life and Exaltation

Once upon a time there was a girl, who had been born with the skin and hair of fairest snow. Daughter of to a Queen of Winter, though the girl did not know it as she and a newborn babe had been switched just after their births, she had been raised by a poor farmer for a nearby kingdom. And all her growing up she was happy, though saddled with being poor and envious neighbours.

The girl caught the eye of the local Prince, who fell madly in love with her though he was destined to marry a woman of a neighbouring kingdom ending the skirmishes between them once and for all. Mad with lust he spurned his arranged marriage and took the girl with snow white hair and skin for his bride, among many of the citizens rumours sprang, their prince bewitched but nought was done. Furious and humiliated the neighbouring kingdom’s spurned bride ordered the girl’s head.

War broke out with both the kingdom’s fighting for one woman and the Queen of Winter waited, while the summer saw many a field of blood. Her revenge to see the kingdom fall had worked beyond her wildest expectations and happily she awaited a joyous reunion with her daughter. Happily she sent her men to raid both sides, taking captives and allowing her men to play mercenary when they were asked and when summer turned to autumn and then autumn turned to winter she smiled, knowing neither would see another spring.

On a tide of madness, her legions marched to drum and trumpet and harpsichord. Reaching the walls of the kingdoms, torn and damaged by two months campaigning she bid her daughter welcome and bade her plan complete. Betrayed by her, whom he had thrown away, all for the Prince fell to despair. To the gates he walked and opened them for all to come, his bride in anguish all undone.

But the girl she loved her husband still and as the kingdom burned, she met with her mother to try and save her maddened lover. Laughed did she, the Winter Queen, at the daughters foolish whim. She took a hundred slaves, both daughter and Prince among them for the amusement of her court. There the girl lay ravaged, along with her Prince by those so fair and glamorous.

Still she waited, the Queen had underestimated the defence the madness in her veins gave and when the games they played lulled, though she was near mindless, she did escape with husband in tow. They fled the court and stumbled through the Wyld eventually reaching a glade beyond the marches. It was there of course her plan was shown to be undone, a final cruel game of the Queen. From behind the Queen’s laughter came, fading, as men and bedraggled women came from the trees, survivors of their kingdom, angry at their Prince’s betrayal. And that should have been the stories end. But it is not…

Beaten, starved and left to die of exposure the two lay side by side for three whole days. Near dusk of the first day the prince, her husband died. Aghast, distraught and now alone she wept and thought of life, even as she lay dying. Though she did not die and two more nights and two more days she did this, alternating between weeping and raging with what little of her will she had left. As the moon rose on the third night, the Lady visited her, the Lady’s eyes filled with pity and they spoke a few words. What they were none but the girl can say and she does not. When finished the lady was gone but the skyline was filled with Moonlight, glowing silver and purple with flecks of red.

Part of the Silver Pack

The newly exalted girl, untattooed was found just sitting, near immobile, in the heart of a ruined Rakasha court in the Northern bordermarches in RY 719, apparently named Bright Snow, one of the few details the girl would answer, it was decided she showed promise as a member of the Winding Path. At least that is according to the No Moon that located her, Tears of Amber. Certainly it can be said that Amber was a fairly strong mentor to the girl afterward, helping restore the girls spirits and ease the damage done by the multiple ravaging's she had been found to have endured. And it cannot be said that the girl did not show promise for the Winding Path, even after the curiousity of her ending up a Changing Moon (Many had her pegged as a future No Moon prior to the ceremony, alas perhaps the damage of the ravaging was to blame - Ed).
