Main Page --> Warbands

Presented here are four systems for assembling a warband: constructed scenario, blind bidding, points buy and team pick.

Constructed Scenario

The GM presents a scenario, with fixed minis in each warband. GMs should strive to make the warbands balanced, either by their relative strengths, or by the scenario itself.

Traditionally players will try a scenario more than once, so they can get a chance to play each side in the scenario.

Blind Bidding

The miniatures available are set up in a line, and each player is given a fixed level of resources (e.g. "30 coins").

Each mini is presented one by one, and all players must secretly note how much they are willing to bid for it. The player that presents the highest bid spends that amount of resources, and gains the mini. Then, the next mini is presented. On a tied bid, no-one gains the mini and it is moved to the back end of the line.

Any player that has zero resources left cannot bid. If all players have zero resources left before the minis are all gone, remaining minis are removed from the game.
