Charles Raynor was born in Hertfordshire to a middle class family, attended Eton, and went on to an Oxford education. If it weren't for the war, he would have followed the family tradition up in the Civil Service, but instead he joined the SOE. You spent two and a half years behind enemy lines engaging in espionage and sabotage, assisting the French Resistance. Unfortunately in 1941 you were betrayed and captured by the Nazis, and subsequently interrogated as a spy.
On the sixth day of torture you begged your interrogators to stop and to your surprise, he did. You then asked him to release you then hand you his weapon to you, which you then promptly turned on him.
