"There was an Idea... The Idea was to bring together a group of of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could."

For years they had protected the world, fighting those battles that couldn't be fought by others. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor... all of them icons in their own right that came together to become something more. They became legends and people thought that the Avengers would be there forever, watching over them.

But then the unthinkable happened, broken apart by one of their own, the Avengers disbanded. Left without their mightiest heroes, the world has stepped back to try and take stock of the loss of an institution. But the relative peace can't last, and it may become time for new heroes to step up and resurrect the Idea.
